It’s hard work being an artist, not everyone likes my style of paintings, but I can’t cover every style to suit everyone, I just hope I cover a style that some people like. I started drawing from and early age. I could draw before I could walk and have always loved to draw and paint.
When I was at school I loved art, it was my favourite lesson, I loved having my painting up on the wall in the art room. It’s hardwork when the teachers don’t have the same version that I did. I must of been about 13/14 years old at the time. With no encouragement from the teacher I felt very disheartened with art. It’s difficult when teachers have their favourites and I was definitely not one of them. Some years after leaving school I did a pottery course and the went into fulltime education at Cannock Chase College and did a GNVQ in Art & Design. I loved this course and really got back into art with teachers that supported me all the way through the course.
